Identification
Distribution
Found in southeast Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly included in Speckled Chachalaca.
Habitat
Low forests and forest borders, palm groves, gardens.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes fruit, particularly bananas. Readily visits feeders.
Vocalizations are variations of Chachala or Chachalaca.
