Identification
Distribution
Endemic to Sula Islands (Mangoli, Taliabu, Sanana), Moluccas, Indonesia.
Taxonomy
Banggai Golden Bulbul was formerly included in Sula Golden Bulbul, which had been split from Northern Golden Bulbul. Golden Bulbul included this and other related taxa like Buru Golden Bulbul and Seram Golden Bulbul. Both Clements and IOC place this species in the genus Hypsipetes [1],[2]; Howard and Moore [3] and HBW place it in Thapsinillas [4].

This is a monotypic species[1].
