Distribution
Asia: found from Siberia to north-eastern China; winters to southern China and northern Thailand.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Boreal forests with bushy undergrowth.
Behaviour
Diet
They are omnivorous, eating both plant material and insects. Recorded as taking beetles and ants on migration.
