Identification

13 cm

  • Brown upperparts
  • Off-white underparts
  • Brown tinge across breast and flanks
  • Reddish tail

Eastern Africa: found only in north-eastern Tanzania (western Usambara Mountains)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Moist montanes.

Behaviour

A skulking bird, inhabiting the dense forest undergrowth.
