Identification

Long broad white stripe extending from the shoulder to the secondaries which is very obvious in flight.

Distribution

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.

Habitat

Dry shrubland, woodland, and semi-open country with scattered bushes and trees.
