Distribution
Pacific Islands: found in the montane forests of east Caroline Islands (Chuuk (formerly Truk) and Pohnpei), (Micronesia).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Gallicolumba by Clements.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests, mangrove forests, montanes, moist shrubland, brushy ravines, and plantations.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes seeds, worms and small snails.
Breeding
It makes its nest in deep forest. A single egg is laid.
