Identification
32 cm. Grey with black and white barring on the back, neck and breast, white crest, crown and cheeks, white stripe down the back, patch of dark, bare skin around the eye, the bill is bluish-white above and buff below, long, graduated tail. In juvenile birds, the throat and breast are buff.
Distribution
North-east Africa, southern Somalia, parts of Kenya, southern Ethiopia and northern Tanzania.
