Identification
14–16.5. Black with greenish wattle over each eye and blue stripe between wattle and eye. Female: olive-green with pale yellow blotches on underparts.

Eastern Madagascar.

Behaviour
The diet includes mainly fruit, some nectar and insects.
It builds a pear-shaped nest from moss and palm fibres, lined with leaves. 3 white eggs are laid and are incubated by the female. Both parents feed the young.
