A Pug for ID (1 Viewer)

When I saw this, I thought it must be Freyer's but it's even bigger, one image shows it's size, compared to my index finger.

Edit: Looks ok for Plain Pug which I've had here before but don't remember them being so big.

Yarrow Pug has been confidently suggested pers com?

If our recorder accepts this record, rated 'nationally scarce B' in Waring, it will be by far, the rarest moth I've ever caught.

Now confirmed as Yarrow Pug, nationally scarce.

I've since found out that we have a small but well established breeding colony somewhere in Notts.

It's size was the thing that grabbed me first, 25mm wingspan but I have been on the lookout for Plain Pug which is similar but smaller.
