First Butterfly of the year? (1 Viewer)

Went for my annual "Duke-fix" at Kithurst Meadow earlier. Loads of them about (easily 30+). The most I've seen there. Every few steps saw another one (or two fighting), so could have easily been more. A few Dingy Skippers and Green Hairstreaks were belated year ticks too.

Just been sent a photo of a Glanville Fritillary in Wiltshire, taken yesterday (04/05) from an illegal release that's been there some years apparently. My best recent new for year was Small Copper in S. Hants last week on 30/04 also Green Hairstreak and Painted Lady in S. Hants on 02/05.
