Hello again Dave , click on the long box next to the 4 white squares ( it should be saying " ask me anything " ) and type in " control panel " and press enter . The free Avast doesn't have a firewall , it wants you to buy their " not free " version of Avast instead . If you are still on Windows 10 it has a built in firewall ( basic , but ok ) I actually removed Avast from my Windows 10 machine as it was causing problems and am now running Windows...- ashrich

new laptop..........keep losing internet connection.
David , if you find it difficult try getting a mate or someone to have a look for you as a first resort , if Windows 10 is turning off your wireless card to save power it still wont always connect even if you sit right next to the wireless router . Ashley- ashrich

Differences Win7 and Win10
Stay with 7 , I am only recommending that my clients change if they are running Windows 8/8.1 ( which was/is truly awful ) . Not a huge difference between 7 and 10 so if it's working ok then leave it be . Ashley- ashrich

it could be that Windows 10 is in a power saving mode for the wifi card , go to network and sharing centre...click on " change adapter settings " ...right click on your adapter and select " properties ,,,then click on configure . Find the power management tab and untick the box allowing Windows...- ashrich

A couple of windows 10 questions please
Click on the 3 little dots on the top right of the page , select " settings " then click on " advanced settings " , there you will see a small slider box to turn on and show " home page " icon , from there you can type in your chosen website and save it . Wallabies in the UK ....
The Dunstable Downs in Bedfordshire spring to mind , these wallabies are escapees from Whipsnade but have been there for years and do breed . They should be considered as wild as any other colony in the Uk . Ashley -
