    Replacement for M7 8x30

You can get Nikon bins on offer in Germany at present. The HG 8x30 is Euro 599 incl German VAT. The seller below charge 15.99 for shipping to Finland. They will charge you the country specific VAT, so that may change the final price a bit. I have not bought bins from them but an expensive foto...

    East Coast Binocular Repairs

That might be your way of dealing with an unpleasant customer. I would expect Keith's binoculars to arrive safely with all repairs carried out professionally. I have never done business with East Coast Binoculars, but I have been on the binocular forum long enough to see plenty of...

    East Coast Binocular Repairs

@ Keith424 Looks like you have been given a perfectly reasonable explanation of what occurred. An appropriate response on your part could have been something like: "Thank you for giving an update. I am sorry about taking this to a public forum, I was getting a bit anxious when I could not...

    berlebach 553

Pegasus would be overkill for 15*56 binoculars. 553 or 510 both have advantages and disadvantages, and you will have to decide yourself which set of features suits your needs better. 553 is more expensive, a bit heavier and has 2 separate levers / mechanisms for clamping the tilt movement...

Jerry I beg to differ. I appreciate Binastro's contributions, including the Ferrari one. Whereas your venom is not needed or appreciated.

Gizmo to hold binoculars without hands? ( while dealing with rotator cuff injury restrictions)

A Finnstick might suit your situation just fine. You should be able to hold on to it without having to elevate your arm(s) (hopefully your problem is only one-sided) at the shoulder joint. For example see here https://www.birdforum.net/threads/10x42-is-l-with-a-finnstick.427128/ The search...

    ATS/STS videohead - direct mounting?

John has the angled eyepiece version. I'm not sure whether any of the regulars here has an STS 65 and would be able to comment on its balance. Does your ballhead have an option to lock the lateral tilt, so that it will behave like a two-way head with just tilting forward and back plus panning...

    ATS/STS videohead - direct mounting?

If the ATS/STS is equipped with the same AS foot as the ATX then the safety retention will work, with caveats described here: https://www.birdforum.net/threads/help-choosing-a-swarovski.413082/post-4223359 That thread also contains an account of swaro head user birdcat, beginning at post #31

    ATS/STS videohead - direct mounting?

According to Swarovski it fits directly into their own pth and cth heads. https://assets.ctfassets.net/pvkenuwtinkd/6uks5JoXhS20XiDyyBRG5G/a34cdc3e40f13d1b2994f7ca6b3d63b5/Usermanual_ATSSTS_Innen_164S_082020_My-compressed.pdf It will also fit directly into Berlebach heads. Barska Spotting Scope

Whatever sells the product will be emphasized as main selling point. This is a cheap scope. Target audience: buyer who hasn't a clue. Sees bigger numbers for magnification and buys this one because it has to be the more powerful ergo better instrument

    Can't decide!

From my experience with superzoom cameras to date (Nikon P900) , I would not give up my scope for one of them. That camera is ok for taking pictures of things that are easy to see: stationary/ big/ not too far away/ good visibility and contrast. However, if you want to get onto something that...

Storing unsealed binoculars - Desiccant pack needed?

Dear Canip, Can I make a disclaimer on your behalf? (for the benefit of the unsuspecting reader who might be dwelling in damper places than thou) This is Switzerland - the country where climate and quality of building provide ideal conditions for storing all sorts of treasures!

Gitzo GT2545T or GT4553S with 95 mm scope? Travel tripod sought

Has anyone used the GITZO Traveller GT2545T with a full-size scope, and can share their experiences? I am looking to get a tripod which will fit into carry-on luggage, i.e. sub 50 cm transport length. My scope is an ATX95, and tripod references are GT3533LS and Berlebach Report. A sturdier...

    Alternative to Swarovski tripod head

@amadeus: First thing to establish is whether BTX 85 is balanced in itself. (Ignatius' post seems to suggest that it isn't - but maybe he can clarify for your benefit). If it isn't, then you will need to use a plate to balance it.

    Swarovski ATS 80 25-50 W vs 20-60 vs ATX 85

Hi Alan just a comment regarding plates: It is of course attractive to fit the scope foot straight onto the tripod head, but this is only practical if your scope is well balanced. Even for a scope in its native state (without anything attached) this is not always the case. For example see...
