    Eagle Owls failed this year in Bowland but it is just a blip, the pairs are still there and next year may well be different. They didnt fail because of RSPB or Game keepers but because of individuals visiting nests who should have known better.Individuals who preach one thing and do the opposite.

    Hi Peter, Sounds like Eagle Owl. When the Eagle Owls in Bowland head off over the moor top to hunt at dusk when they have young all the Curlews start to alarm and dont stop until the Owl has passed on. They are nowhere near as vocal when the Short-eareds are hunting the area.

    UK Long-eared Owl Survey
