    Suitable bag for 300 f/2.8 on 1dm3

I have tried a few bags and now think I have the right one, a Lowepro Computrekker Plus. It's lightweight and of course has the 'AW' cover and the 300mm goes in with hood attached (not reveresed) and either a 1.4x or even a 2x. Also plenty of room for loads of other gear.....if you can carry...

    Angle Finder C For Canon

Not sure if you are reffering to my post Christine, but, if you are then the 'B' was made before digital so it will not be on any list I would imagine. It is fully compatible with a 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50d. My mate has one too on his 1d MKII. It does come with a screw-on adapter which seems to...

    Angle Finder C For Canon

Don't forget the older Angle finder 'B' which does'nt have the magnifier but is far better quality than the ebay jobs, I'm sure. It does rotate though and has the diopter adjustment. Mine goes straight on my 40d and works perfect with no 'wobble' as some of the cheap ones do......I believe. I...

Roy, I did say I found very little difference, the 500mm is better, but there's very little in it, I found. 'Vastly superior' no way. At the end of the day......you want both.|:d|

    Canon 300 f2.8 on a 40D.

I've been out today and took a few shot's with a 2x just for the hell of it. This is one and if anyone wants the 'raw' file to have a closer look, I'll email it to you. 10mb

    Canon 300 f2.8 on a 40D.

I tried both before getting the 300mm (because of the size and cost) but I found very little difference at all between the 500+1.4x and the 300mm+2x.

Nice one Ian, I love these animals. I have one living in a stone wall somewhere in my garden and see it occaisionally, but, never got a shot of it yet.

    Lost Perigrine

More than strange if you ask me, and, if he is a genuine Falconer then he should never be allowed to keep another bird. He does'nt live far from me actually. Have just had a 'pm' from 'Fazza' so not all hope is lost.

Think you've answered your own question Sean when you say you could get away with a 1.4x. I think that's what most would do, in that they would start with a 1.4x and then get a 2x, if needed.
