    Jackdaws

    At about 7 30 Monday morning, just as I got off the tube in North London, between 100 and 200 jackdaws flew over my head in a long formation. I have never seen so many together before. Do they usually flock like this?

    Herring gull

    I saw a strange(to me) herring gull today. It's head had dark streaks on it ,but it's bill was curved at the tip that almost looked like a bird of prey. Could it just have been deformed?

    I saw a pair of shelduck yesterday,with eighteen ducklings.Is this a record.
