    A question for Opus; we have two photos of Scale-throated Earthcreeper (one from Patagonia and one from Chile). Both were identified pre-split - I presume (from the habitat) that neither is of a Patagonian Forest Earthcreeper (Upucerthia saturatior)? Can subspecies be identified for either photo?

    A few of the Opus editors were getting frustrated with being stuck with the outdated (1996) Sibley and Monroe, so it has been agreed that we will use the latest Clements, IOC and Howard and Moore to decide which species qualify for pages in Opus. Quoting from the relevant help page:
