    Why is VR a necessity? Long, fast lenses will need to be on a tripod anyway and proper use will mean that VR is rather redundant. I think that putting it on (and vastly increasing prices on already expensive glass) would be far more of a marketing ploy than technological breakthrough. I like...

    I use it quite often with a 70-200mm f2.8 zoom and a 105mm f2.8. It is a great accessory. There are quite a few bird shots taken with it at my Nikongear gallery Here is one.

    It's a bit of a crop but, we were coming in through a channel and the Terns were flying around. This one chose to land on a channel marker just as we neared it.
