    Ive only had good experiences from HDEW Cameras as well i dont understand why MPB photographic wont touch gear thats come from HDEW Cameras Cornish Exile why wouldnt they except gear purchased from HDEW.

    Ive have a Lenscoat on my 500 for the last 6 years wouldnt buy another they are not well enough made, i also have a wws one on my 100-400 and think that worst still i dont use the lens hood part as its always coming off total waste of money.

    Birdman why should the 7D mk2 be fully compatible at F8 Canon has only had auto focus at F8 on their 1D 1DS series of cameras as they have a larger sensor which is able to gather more light. Unless the sensor is a significant upgrade in the upgraded or all new 7D mk2 or what ever they call it...

    Digital Rev have a good reputation for a gray importer no vat or import tax but u do have to send it back to Hong Kong if it needs repair during the first year.

    Mike these are good i also have the 1D mk3 and 500 but i only have the 1.4 extender the images look pretty good with the 2x but how quick was the focus compared to the 1.4 with 500 Thanks Graham

    Dave been following your other threads abut the 5Dmk3 as i was thinking of getting a 5D mk3 i now use a 1D mk3 and would like more pixels and the supposed better focusing system,i was under the impression that the focusing on the 5D was easier to get to grips with hope you get some good advice...

    Canon 500m F4 lens; advice appreciated

    I use a neoprene lens cover that i got from ebay made by op/tech warehouse express do the same but by lenscoat much better than a plastic one as i stuff it in my pocket when actually shooting but keep it on when carrying the lens.

    If you google Aperture Academy and click on the 200-400 links there are shots of a Canon official tester on Safari testing the new 200-400 zoom plus 600 f4 on what looks like it could be a 5D mk3 or a 7D mk2 the 200- 400 looks massive compared to the 100-400.

    John i think you would be better of going for the Canon macro lenses the 100 f2.8 is an excellent lens and as your thinking of upgrading to the 7D and i believe that the 7D has a special focusing mode for the 100 IS lens. the non IS 100 macro lens is also excellent and would hold its value...

    Looks pretty good to me Frank there is some noise but that might be because you've pulled it up.Iam not sure wether microadjustment ar'nt as much a pain as a help find iam still fiddling with very small adjustment after almost 2 years would be quite happy not to have any on my camera.
