Unknown moth to a complete beginner!

Apologies if this is the moth equivalent of 'what does a blackbird look like?' but could somebody id this moth that came into our house last night (Norfolk) Am interested in this, but at the minute I know absolutely nothing about them!

    Rock Dove?

Very embarassingly, I thought this was a juvenile Barn Owl - but have been told it is actually just a Rock Dove. Can anyone confirm it for me please? Am just surprised due to the size and shape of it!

    Warbler - Norfolk Garden

Sure this is an easy one, but I can't tell who this is? Not good at telling warblers and the like apart yet! It has been hanging around my garden all day, quite close to the sea if that is of any help!

    Brambling?

Saw this bird in my garden today - I think it is a brambling in summer plumage, but was a bit confused as I didn't think they would still be around? Can anyone confirm it for me please?

    Just Starting Photography

Hi everyone, I have been a birder for ages but have only just started trying to photograph them properly! Any tips/feedback at all will be most appreciated! I have attached one I took today of a Goldfinch in the garden, I guess it is easier to go for garden birds first and then move upwards?

    Nikon Coolpix P80

Hi, I have the above camera and have been using it for lots of great garden pictures. I tried to upload them onto the gallery earlier, and they are all coming up as file size too big! What am I doing wrong? And how do I shrink the file size? Some of them are great pictures!! Many thanks

    Bucks/Beds Birding?

Hi, can someone point me in the direction of really good spots in Bucks/Beds area? (Or towards a thread - I did a search but it didn't come up with anything) I have found bits on the net but I was wondering if the more experienced people on this site could tip me off on some good spots as it is...

    Egret near Milton Keynes?

Hi, I am positive I saw a Little Egret this morning just outside of Milton Keynes. I have checked all my id books, and it certainly looked like one - is this likely? It was sitting quite high in a tree, and then swooped down. At first glance, it had the same sort of shape in flight as a heron...

    Hedgehogs in daylight

Hi, put this in Other Wildlife - should have used this one though! What does it mean if you see your local hedgepig still up and around a few hours after dawn? He/she was moving quite freely and didn't look unhappy, but I am new to them and always thought it meant they were in trouble if you...

    Unknown bird in Devon, England

Hi - I haven't got a picture unfortunately as they were too wary! I saw two geese-like birds on the South Coast last weekend. They were very similar in markings to a Greylag Goose, but both had white heads. What has really thrown me though, is that one of them had huge white hanging cheek jowls...

    Red Kite

Are Red Kites still pretty rare? I had a great view of one yesterday near Milton Keynes - it came down as low as about 30ft at one point so you could really see it's markings, fantastic!

    Unknown bird in Buckinghamshire

Hello everyone, hope someone can help me. I have just been out for a walk in the fields near my house in Bucks, and have seen a fantastic display from a small group of birds. I didn't have a camera with me so I am hoping the description will trigger somebody's knowledge! They were about the...
