    Northumberland 2nd October

    Hi, I am sure this should be easy but I cannot make my mind up what this bird is. Mallard sized but dark beak and eyeline are confusing me. I am sure it is nothing special, but I would still like to know what it is. It was on the sea. Thanks for any suggestions. Keith.

    Snow bunting? (North Yorkshire)

    This morning I saw one bird with a flock of Linnets & Greenfinches which I would have said was a Snow Bunting if it wasn't for the fact that it was almost totally white. It had a dark eye, pale beak, and the only non-white feathers were the wing tips (folded over the back). All my books show...
