How many binoculars do you own?

Oh, let's just say it involved me using them as a bat to shoo off a large wasp!

How many binoculars do you own?

Right now, I have none. Oh, and if anyone wants a free pair of Leica 8x42BN's, mine are at the bottom of Ramsgate harbour.

AVG Warning every time I start up-what to do?

You need some Spyware removal software. Get yourself here: http://www.spybotupdates.com/files/spybotsd152.exe and download the free version of Spybot Search & Destroy. When you've installed it, make sure you update the spyware definitions before running a manual scan of your system.

    Norton virus alert?

You could get rid of Norton and install McAfee 2008 instead. A much better program that doesn't slow your machine down like the Symantec product.

AVG Warning every time I start up-what to do?

Don't like the sound of this Cleanator thing, Dave. Is it another piece of software you've installed to tidy up your system? AVG might see it as a threat. If it IS a seperate item, delete it from 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control Panel. Then run AVG again and see what happens.

Speeding up an Apple Mac Mini

James, the Mac Mini isn't really a sealed unit. You can undo it with a new wallpaper scraper (Apple recommend it!) Check out Google for any Apple takeaparts and see what you find.

    Hello

I was a member of BirdForum many years ago, but decided to reappear with a different username. My reason for coming back was that a friend in The States sent me a photo of a bird she photographed in her garden, and although the name of the bird is on the tip of my tongue, I can't for the life...

    Cat Food - yummy!

When I worked at a Bird Observatory many moons ago (name left out to protect the not-so-innocent!) we looked after sick and injured gulls, ducks and god-knows-what else in an outdoor pen. They were fed daily with the cheapest, nastiest dog food you could ever imagine ('Chappie' etc), and they...

    COREL Photopaint

Could you not stick all the pictures in one Zip file, Andrew? I think everyone on earth uses WinZip these days. Rather than post individual files or make one HUGE jpeg with lots of little pictures in, create a new folder, stick all the images in it, get 'yer hands on WinZip and compress the...

    Kite Flying in Tregaron

Quite by chance, I ended up in Tregaron (near Lampeter) this afternoon. I'd been to Lampeter plenty of times before, and had always marvelled at the occasional Red Kite in the skies as I travelled to and from there. Today was a different matter. As we approached Tregaron in the car, the sky...
