These are definitely fine pictures. But I wonder whether you had the focus problems with your teleconverter on? Or was it the same without the converter? I think the converter further reduces contrast, thus probably contributing to the focus problems? -

I have no idea as I think the tele capability of the FZ150 does not need another boost. Particularly since I usually operate the camera without a tripod. So I have never looked into that. But I assume there are others who know. Otherwise, you might search the dpreview forum... -

Can't answer the first part, but I have wondered about that too. As for the viewfinders, the one most important feature on ANY camera to me is an EVF, or an optical one for that matter. But one that allows to stabilize the camera while taking pictures or videos, and one that works under all... -

Great news, indeed. Not sure what the izoom feature brings, though. But that manual focus is exactly what I need. Now if only the EVF were a bit better to allow more precise focus adjustments. I notice, by the way, that the price of the camera is starting to drop a bit. At least on US internet... -

ric alexander WELCOME to BirdForum. And thanks for sharing your experiences. I fully support your opinion that one needs a spare battery. I'd guess a single spare would do for most regular users though. You certainly have added to my confidence that this ought to become my next camera. :-O -

You need to check when this test has been posted. The FZ47 test is from 10 August, whereas the one for the FZ150 is from 06 October. Almost two months later. And don't expect old tests to be updated. ;) -

Yes, there was a EVF change after the FZ18. I hated it first on my FZ28 (later switched to the FZ35/38), but I'm now so used to it that it's no major problem. -
