Watched a large Goshawk displaying over Belmont Ind Estate (Mullards) this morning. The huge 'roller coaster' display caught the eye, thought it may have been a captive bird but didnt appear to have any jesses on, Watched it do a couple of laps before flying west and out of site. Also looked...

Cracking views of the Arctic Redpoll today. Thanks to the "Nutter" with the id skills....;) There was a large flock o mixed redpolls,goldfinches and siskins today, c100, also saw a few more smaller groups (c 20's)of similar around site. It appears to me that these birds numbers are relativley...

i stood (and a guy armed only with a large camera) next to the sluice gate between pool 1 and 2 in disbelief. I think they were a group of Twitchers from out of the area (thankfully) :stuck:

A nice mooch around RM and surrounding areas yesterday including Wigeon, Teal, Mallards, Redshank, Snipe and possible Jack all just off site. Also a few Tree Spugs threatening to make a site appearance but not quite. A cracking view of LEO roosting :t: All pools still completely frozen...
