Cracking day out yesterday , started at New Brighton with Purple Sandpipers,Turnstone and Redshank on the pontoons by the cafe.
Then made our way down the coast taking in Meols , Thurstaston , West Kirby (for the red Breasted Mergansers) , adding Curlew, vast numbers of Oystercatchers, many Dunlin and Knott , Black Tailed Godwit , Bar Tailed Godwit including a superb full breeding plumaged individual, Sanderling,Ringed Plover,Pintail and finished at Parkgate where I was informed had just missed a ringtail and two male Hen Harriers so had to make do with just the four or five Marsh Harriers.
Didn't have time to visit Burton Mere , methinks another visit beckons quite soon.
