Hi all, not sure with this one. Location, Comboyne, mid north coast NSW, Australia. Thinking Bassian, but looks a lighter and smaller than others I have seen. Thnaks in advance.

It's certainly a Zoothera thrush, and IMO looks very good for Bassian...

I agree, Bassian Thrush. Gorgeous bird!

Could be Bassian, but it's very difficult to separate between Bassian and Russet-tailed, particularly without call.

I think judging by the median covert pattern clearly shown in the first image would confirm that this is a Bassian Thrush.

Compare the covert patterns of the two species.
