Sandwell Valley (4 Viewers)

The Tundra Bean Geese where seen at 09:15 they where seen to fly East, a very unexpected addition to the Valley List well done Mr Hackett, not only a Valley First but all so a County First.

Were they originally on the deck or just fly-overs?
 
Bit quiet down the Valley this afternoon.

Male Goldeneye on Swan pool
GBB Gull on the RSPB island
1-2 Water Rails calling in the marsh
4 Herring Gulls on Swan pool (with 32 LBB Gulls)
A few Siskins and Redpolls flying round.
20 Goosander (at 2pm)
18 Pochard
12 Snipe
 
I was a little hasty with my Tundra Bean Goose information it was actually the Second County record after one on the 9th March 2007 at Marsh Lane, but it was more importantly a first for the Valley and the largest flock recorded in the County
