Can anyone please tell me the differences in the Opticron Imagic and ES scopes. Both are the 80mm versions.

I've looked back as far as the 2007 Opticron brochure and can't find any mention of an Imagic scope, so I guess it must be an older model. There were two ES scopes, ES 100 GA & ES 80 GA listed in the 2007 brochure. Do you want to know anything specific about the ES 80 GA?

(I do find the multiplicity of Opticron models very confusing, but I suppose the marketing department is trying to fill every slot.)

It was just the iMagic scope I was interested in. As you say it must have been an older model.

As reflected in the price, the Imagic is slightly below the ES 80 in terms of optical performance.
