Google searches for 'birds' reached an all-time high in the U.S. last week, and searches for 'best binoculars for birding' have spiked 550 percent since March, according to Google Trends. Downloads of the Merlin Bird ID Wizard app from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology were up more than 133 percent in May compared to the same time last year.”
