I had called both moulting male Splendid Fairy-Wrens, but I now see that it may not make sense...

I'm a loooong way from being an expert on Australian birds. |:x|

But. Why not male Splendid in eclipse? (At least for the second bird, the first one's a bit hard to "read"). I think the bill colour, blue wings and tail, and face pattern (or rather, lack thereof) fit that species.

Thank you...I did think that 1 did not look like my other moulting "splendid" males.
