Hello from Norfolk (1 Viewer)

I have always had a passing interest in nature and wildlife. My job takes me all over the east of England and more and more I see species of birds that I haven't a clue what they are. I am trying to id various raptors that I see - nearly every day I see Red Kites and Buzzards. At the moment I see something go home and try and find it in a book or on the internet. So I am an amateur in perhaps the best County in England for bird spotting.

Hi Ed and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I've just had a week in Norfolk, near Fakenham, and got 4 Lifers!! A superb county for birding. I'll so look forward to hearing all your news.

Greetings and a warm welcome to Birdforum. :t:

I can only echo what Delia said: I had five lifers the last time I visited Norfolk before emigrating; great place to go birding.

Hi Ed! Welcome aboard :t:

We've got quite a few I D geniuses on board so don't be afraid to ask about a bird. If you can get a picture, even better ;)

Welcome to BirdForum! I am sure you will find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits.
