Rutland Ospreys 2015 (1 Viewer)

Bad news that 03/97 won't be adding to his tally this year! Hopefully he'll be back in 2016 but this year has been a trial for him.

Had a rather damp day at Rutland Water on Saturday. When it started to brighten up in the late afternoon, 33(11) flew over lagoon 1 getting mobbed by the local gulls and waders. He made one circuit, then swooped and grabbed a pike from the lagoon. I got some shots of him as he headed back towards Manton Bay.

As soon as he'd passed overhead, I fired up the iPad and was able to watch via the webcam as he arrived back with the fish and handed it over to the female.

He's doing a grand job of providing for the family and it's great being able to watch it both via the web and visiting.

Excellent shots, hopefully it will be a good year for our Ospreys this year all over the UK but with spring being late you will just never know.
