Hi folks. We have 4 of these that have been here all summer. Sorry for the bad pic. Took it today, 9/19/15.

Anyone have a guess?

In North Carolina, any hummingbird is overwhelmingly likely to be a ruby-throated hummingbird. They are the only species to regularly occur and breed in the state. If you saw this in winter, we'd have to question its identity, but if you had four all summer, they were definitely ruby-throated hummingbirds.

The photo is too small to really get a grip on it but I will say it has always been the month of September that I get visits from Rufous Hummingbirds.
