Our Seabirds (1 Viewer)

Not sure where I should put this thread, perhaps the Mods in due course will relocate.

In the Times today details were published regarding fishing in Europe's waters and of course this means around our shores.

It has been reported quite a number of times the difficulties our seabirds face in particular the food supply. Many depend on Sand Eels and of late this has been lacking to some degree.

In the fishing details just released it was revealed that the denmark fishing fleet has landed nearly 200.000 thousand tons of sand eels in the latest year for which figures are available. is it any wonder then that our seasbirds are suffering. The Danes no doubt use this valuable sea bird for fertiliser and animal feed.

I would therefore implore all forum members to boycott Danish products especially meat and to pass this on to members of other organisations such as the RSPB and WWT members. This is the only way any country will take notice by hitting them in the pocket.

BOYCOTT DANISH PRODUCTS.
