Hello,
I am new to bird watching. I came to it quite accidentally actually. My desk sits next to a large window and being that it's Spring, there is a lot of bird activity.

I live in area where there is a lot of nature. It's common to see ducks, hawks, and sparrows fly by.

Last week I saw a hawk swoop down and snatch up a snake. S/He was about 25' away from my window and I was blown away. After some research I found that it was a Swainson’s Hawk.

This week there has been an amazing amount of Tree Sparrows surrounding the office building. They are so beautiful and I feel such joy watching them work their magic.

These two incidents pretty much brought me here and I'm so excited getting to know more.

Hi Delmar and a warm welcome to you on behalf of the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I'll look forward to reading about what you see when out and about. It sounds like you've had some lovely sightings already.
