Help with ID please (1 Viewer)

I took these 2 images today in Dundalk, Ireland. I am presuming Yellow Legged Gull and Lesser Blackbacked Gull, but the contrast between the 2 birds didn't seem as obvious when I spotted them. I had presumed 2 LBBG's.

Any help appreciated.

I'm no Gull expert at all, but I'd agree with your ID's.

Both look like LBBG to me. The bill is too weak I'd say. I'm missing Lou's expertise lately...

Very different, overall colour, the first being more like a Herring Gull?

The mantle is way too dark for any Herring Gull. Some graelsii can easily look like this I'd say
