Gull, Hyde Park London, 21/10/23 (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I was boating on Hyde park lake last Saturday and was intrigued by this gull in the 2nd two photos. The first photo a classic Lesser black- backed Gull, dark mantle, bright yellow legs. The second 2 photos are of the bird I was intrigued by. The mantle being obviously lighter that the LBBG but darker than Herring Gull and looked a little bigger and not the bright yellow legs.

Thanks for any thoughts and insight. I really must try harder with gulls!

it's a paler mantled LBBG. on evenly striated head, shortish legs, darker mantle than YLG, short and diagonal p10 ventral togue.
