Am I missing out? (1 Viewer)

To a slight extent roof Abbe-König binoculars have the same problem

Hello Arthur,

I'm a little late in qualifying this, but the objective spacing on many A-K binoculars is less a problem than a necessity. The barrel diameter on most medium-sized binoculars is about 12 mm larger than the aperture, so 56 mm objectives without the offset would have a minimum IPD of 68 mm!
Btw, a small amount of offset is not uncommon on Schmidt-Pechan binoculars. At my IPD setting on my 42 mm ELs the offset is about 10 mm.

Regards,
John
