Seen at Ria de Alvor, September 5th 2019. Thought Chiffchaff but supercilium looks a little bright. Maybe Willow Warbler? Help appreciated

Just a quick comment, which may be of help: Common Chiffchaff is almost unheard of in early September in the Algarve - they arrive en masse for the winter next month. Meanwhile passing Willow Warblers are pretty abundant at the moment and Iberian Chiffchaffs are quite numerous, passing through near peak now. Both of these last ones are even appearing the centre of Lagos even ;)

With the very strong head markings of your bird I'd expect it to be WW too. Ib Chiff's distinctive call is a giveaway - they call quite a bit (and even sing a little now on migration) but can often be silent too.
