Western Meadowlark? (1 Viewer)

I photographed this bird on Oct. 19th, of this year in TN near a swamp next to a lake. I think it's a western meadowlark, which are rare in the region. The photo suggests a plumage that is lighter than that seen on eastern meadowlarks. Also, the V on the breast is not as dark, thick, and defined than that I've seen on the eastern species. What do you folks think?

It looks fine for an Eastern Meadowlark to me. By October meadowlarks are in their winter plumage, which is paler than the summer plumage regardless of the species.
