Hi, I took this photo at Tiritiri Matangi bird island, Auckland, NZ over the weekend, is it a north island kokako? Thanks a lot in advance

Thank all of you so much for the confirmation! During the trip, I spotted this bird one time only, and took only one photo before it disappeared...I am so happy it is a Kokako, haha...thank you again...

Hi,: Just want ask one more question, I tried to register this bird under the location of Tiritiri Matangi island, but could identify it under Auckland, New Zealand. Should it be under another region? Or this may not be a relevant question to the Bird ID Forum, whom I can consult? Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Wuwu, try Rodney District instead of Auckland, you should find it OK then.
