White Winged Crossbill

Just wanted to post that on November 29, 2008, a white winged crossbill was eating at our feeders in Hallsville, MO. Two others were also reported a week later eating at a feeder about a block away. The picture I got of the bird shows it having very long claws. Just wondered if this is normal for this bird.
