According to the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 of Australia (see here: http://www.environment.gov.au/cgi-b...edlist.pl?wanted=fauna#frogs that are Extinct) the White-chested White-eye is regarded as extinct. But apparently there are still reports of sightings (the last one in 2005). So is anyone here who has the most current data about the population status of this bird?
