Just to clarify why it is a Stoat, it has a long black-tipped tail whereas a Weasel has a short concolorous one, the topside/underside demarcation is roughly straight whereas in a Weasel it is wiggly to the point of being convoluted, and the face has a shadow of a mask.

Its a matter for your memory rather than visible in the photo, but Stoats are substantially larger than Weasels (though in theory there is a little overlap).
