I wonder if albinism will present the same survival issues in the sea as it does on land?

For predators that attack from above, it is certainly a positive (or a negative, from the turtle's standpoint).

But possibly safer from predators below ... sunburn may be an issue? Perhaps?

I guess as the Turtle (hopefully) gets older, the brightness will fade and it will accumulate some algae to help it blend in.

Can reptiles get sunburn, their outer covering is not as mammals so not sure?
