I'm not gonna show my support, since my picture was disqualified after the voting booth opened. What gives?

You seem to have a very short memory gthang. A couple of comps ago, you kept PMing myself and another mod over and over to complain about others entering photos that didn't follow the comp rules - i.e. too many entries. They were all allowed to stay up for everyone to see and enjoy until the voting booth went up. At that time, they were eliminated because the guidelines were not adhered to. That is the way it has been for every competition.

Somewhere around June 12th, in the thread announcing the June comp, it was determined that composites were not going to be allowed due to several complaints received. Apparantly you did not check back into that thread to see that your entry would no longer qualify. Should you have been notified personally at that point? I'm not sure how I feel about that. To my knowledge, it has never been the practice during previous competitions. But, for you to imply that any of the mods here were up to something sinister because your photo was eliminated was a really childish implication. Perhaps you need to step back a bit and think about your actions. I have had a photo eliminated from a comp and I certainly didn't use the forums to have a temper tantrum about it.

These competitions make the voting harder all the time! Some of them are intrinsically funny photos, some are made hilarious by the caption. Makes it HARD to decide!!

This also is a wonderful way to see the range of talent we've got hanging out on this site -- some of the photos are perfectly splendid, whether you think they are 'funny' or not!

Congratulations to everyone who entered! BRAVO!!!! I'm STILL laughing!

Some very good entries indeed.

You may have noticed that one entry has been withdrawn at the request of the photographer. It had been uploaded into the competition forum by mistake.

This has affected two voters. I should think the software will permit those members to cast their votes again - any probelms PM me :t:

The entry in question was 'My Curse' by Kuwaity.
