Hello, next week we are travelling to Newhaven to catch the ferry to Dieppe. Can anyone recommend places to visit for birding close to Newhaven. We will be in a fairly large camper van so will be limited where we can go.

Thanks Mike.

Years ago I had a great time around the Beachy Head area, Cow Gap and Birling Gap too.

There's some information about the area in The Opus.

Hope this helps Mike.

Cuckmere Haven tends to be good, and the Kittiwake Colony at Seaford is worth a visit. Just follow the beach promenade in Seaford all the way to the East and the kittiwakes will be on the cliff.
