Bird and squirrel lover.
Yellow-Shafted Northern Flicker.

I just had another in my yard, loving them, but something was different about this one. As you can see in the included picture that one had the black line around the beak, like a moustache, but the one just now didn't have it at all. Same exact colorings except the beak line wasnt there.

Is this a male or female difference?

Yes, you have a male there.
