Little Owls are cat. C in Britain???
Yes; introduced by Lord Lilford in the 1880s (with some earlier unsuccessful introductions from 1843 by others). Apparently around then, they were popular as house pets for controlling cockroaches, and readily available in shops :eek!:

Welll.... if it's not the two snakes eyeing each other up on the back of a crocodile, I'm guessing it's a Yellowhammer?
