Peregrine falcon??? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking this is a immature Peregrine Falcon. What do you think?

close to Galveston, Texas.

A short discussion of their reintroduction into south and coastal Texas ca. 1993 can be found in the chapter on the Aplomado Falcon in Brian K. Wheeler's RAPTORS of Western North America (copyright 2003) along with range maps for them from Brownsville north to Houston.p.456. There were 22 nesting pairs in the area in 2001. He notes that they had been extirpated in Texas in 1952.

Interesting. I thought they were only being reintroduced down in the Valley.
