Hello all,
My wife, 10 year daughter and I have a 24 hour layover in Sydney on Jan 8-9. We get in late and will have all day until about 7pm to explore. We will have a car to use.
We have never been to Australia so many birds will be life birds. We will be coming back to the US from a New Zealand Trip. The goal would be to make a whirl wind tour of the area to see birds, other wildlife, scenic areas and iconic sights like the Opera House. Looking in ebird a couple spots that have the most species seem to be Warriewood Wetlands and Sydney Olympic Park.
I would love to hear suggestions of top places to visit for any of the topics I mentioned so I can research and create an itinerary.
Don't know if we will make it back to Australia again so it will be a max stimulus exercise.
Best regards,
Doug
